Wilderwood holds its Board members, Executive, volunteers, and employees to the highest of standards relating to personal integrity, honesty, and ethical behavior, exemplified by the following:

  • Before speaking, asking oneself: Is it kind? Is it true? Is it helpful?
  • Interactions with others are characterized by kindness, acceptance, and consideration, regardless of race, religion (or absence of religion), gender, ability (or disability), or national origin;
  • A commitment to carrying out Wilderwood’s mission, vision, and goals professionally and with both dignity and kindness;
  • Demonstrating compassion and kindness to all animals;
  • Carrying out assigned duties with respect to what is right, what is kind, and what is in the best interests of the organization and the people and animals it serves;
  • Interest and desire to work collaboratively with other people and organizations, where possible, to advance a shared mission or goal.
